Yogurt Lab

Introduction
Bacteria are microscopic organisms. Bacteria are the smallest living organisms on the planet and are invisible to the human eye. Bacteria have been known to be bad because of the diseases it causes such as: cholera, malaria, tuberculosis, and the devastation Bubonic Plague. Many of our Daily products are actually bacteria, such as: yogurt and cheese. In our yogurt lab we will test Koch's Postulates to show the effect of bacteria on humans but instead using yogurt and milk.

Bacteria are able to reproduce very quickly because of its ability to divide itself in half and doing so at a very fast rate. The bacteria are just like any organism and requires energy to do work. Its enzymes breaks down sugars, such as the lactose, thus forming yogurt.

This lab is to test Koch's Postulates. He thought that you could only get a disease with physical contact with the diseased person. We are testing with yogurt and milk instead.
